I am a resident counselor at one of the top pre-college enrichment summer programs in the world and I'm calling Los Angeles, California, my home for the next six weeks.

Today was one of the most fun days here so far! All of the three week kids have left, so we took about 140 students to Huntington Beach this afternoon. I don’t know if it was the weather or what, but this was my third trip to the beach since I came here and it was also the BEST trip. There was so much going on; the people were beautiful, the sun came out, the sand was white, and there was a Forever 21 having a super sale. =) Got myself a tube top, a skirt, and an LBD for 18 bucks!
We left the beach around 5pm and went straight to the Home Depot Center for the LA Galaxy game. The visiting team was the Chicago Fire. I’ve never been a fan of soccer, but after tonight’s game if I have an opportunity to watch it I definitely will. I love baseball and I loved watching the Dodgers play, but tonight’s soccer game was just too much fun! Got to see our two stars in action, Landon Donovan and David Beckham. Got to hold my sign up and dance. So much fun!
It’s 121am and my contacts are threatening mutiny, so I’m about to go to bed. Will upload more pictures either right before bed or tomorrow. We took a lot of pictures on Tim’s camera at the beach, and I can’t wait to show them off =)
